1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions apply to every purchase made on handvara.com. Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order you accept them.
2. Products
All our products are handmade by artisans, mostly in Bali (Indonesia). Because every piece is made by hand from natural materials, small differences in shape, colour, finish, grain and size compared with the photos are normal. They are part of the character of each piece and are not a defect.
Dimensions and weights shown on product pages are approximate.
3. Prices
Prices are in euro (EUR) and include Italian VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are not included in the product price. They are shown in the cart and at checkout before you confirm your order.
For deliveries outside the European Union (for example Norway), import duties and taxes may be charged by the destination country. These are paid by the customer on delivery.
4. Orders
To buy, add products to the cart, enter your details at checkout and confirm the order with the payment button. You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. The contract is concluded when we send you the order confirmation.
If a product turns out to be unavailable after you have ordered, we will contact you and refund any amount already paid in full.
5. Payment
Payment is made online at checkout using the methods shown there. Card payments are processed by certified external payment providers. Handvara never sees or stores your full card details.
6. Shipping
Delivery areas, times and costs are described on our Shipping page. Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person you have indicated.
Please check your parcel on delivery. If it is visibly damaged, accept it “with reservation” if possible and contact us within 7 days with photos, so we can handle the claim with the carrier.
7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. Full details, including the model withdrawal form, are on our Returns & Withdrawal page.
8. Legal guarantee of conformity
Consumers are entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity provided by the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005, articles 128 and following) for defects that become apparent within two years of delivery. If you find a defect, contact us by email with a description and photos. Natural variations typical of handmade items (see section 2) are not defects.
9. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Italian law. This does not deprive consumers of the protection given by the mandatory rules of the country where they live. For consumers, the competent court is the one of the place where the consumer lives.
