Description
This little duck sits with its head turned and wings folded, perched right on top of a gnarled piece of parasite wood – the kind of dense, twisting growth that forms slowly on a host tree and outlasts it. The carver has worked with the wood’s own knots and hollows rather than against them, letting the base keep its wild, unrepeatable shape while the duck itself is carved smooth and finished with a soft wash of green and cream paint.
