Description

There’s something quietly charming about a snail caught mid-glide, and this low, laying pose captures exactly that — shell tucked back, tentacles stretched forward as if testing the air ahead. Hand-cast in solid brass using traditional lost-wax casting, it has the warm gold-tone finish and softly ridged shell texture that only comes from a mould shaped by hand, not machine tooling. Run a finger along the coiled shell and the textured underside, and you can feel the fine casting lines and tiny pitting that mark it as a genuine, individually poured piece. Because each figure is cast and finished by hand, you’ll notice small variations in surface tone and shape from one snail to the next — a natural result of the process, and part of what makes it worth having. It’s an easy, unexpected desk or shelf companion — a small nod for the friend who collects odd little creatures instead of the usual mugs and candles.

The Artisan’s Mark
Each figure begins as molten brass, poured by hand using traditional lost-wax casting. Small casting marks, subtle variation in the patina, and slight differences in weight or finish are the natural result of this process — not imperfections, but the artisan’s signature on every piece.
