This little wooden village is hand-carved and hand-painted, each building whittled down from a solid block of wood before being given its own weathered roof and hand-drawn window frames. The white-washed walls are deliberately distressed, with the brushwork left uneven and the grain showing through in places — a look that only comes from a hand at work, not a mould.

Six buildings of varying heights sit together, the tallest reaching around 12cm and the smallest about 6cm, so they naturally form a little skyline when lined up on a shelf or windowsill. Look closely and you’ll spot the small human touches: a slightly crooked window pane, brush strokes that trail off at different points on each roof, a chip of exposed wood at a corner. No two houses in the set are painted quite the same, which is part of what makes the whole scene feel handmade rather than stamped out.
