Description
This charging bull, or Banteng, is hand-cast in solid brass using traditional lost-wax casting, its head lowered and horns forward in a pose full of motion. The dark, smoky black patina pools across its back and flank while the horns, hooves, ears, and curled tail catch the light in polished gold-brass, giving the piece real depth and contrast from every angle.
Look closely and you’ll find the fingerprints of the process itself: fine casting seams along the spine, small pitting in the metal, and the kind of uneven, cloud-like patina that only comes from a piece cooled and finished by hand. Because each bull is individually cast and patinated rather than machine-stamped, you may notice slight differences in the depth of the black finish or the exact curve of a horn from one piece to the next — these small variations are simply evidence of the artisan’s hand guiding the process, not a flaw to overlook.
It has the weight and stance of a desk-top sculpture that means something — at home on a bookshelf, a study, or an office desk.
